Hello Beautiful People!
It's Sarah here and I hope that all of you are doing well! I'm checking back in with you all to share more about more my amazing & VERY therapeutic time spent at the Sharing Tree. For those of you who don't know, these last three weeks have been very stressful for me and my health has taken a toll as a result. BUT I do have a surefire remedy for my sickness: The Sharing Tree!
That's right, you heard it here first folks, The Sharing Tree is a bonafide aid for sickness! Much like the previously posted picture, these past three weeks I worked on letting go of my "worries" and finding inner strength within myself. It's often hard for me to just let go and take the time I need for myself, which has always been a struggle of mine. But I definitely found success this week, both in my work & health. I also had the chance to work on grant research and potential partners for the Sharing Tree with the direction from the always lovely, Carly!
Working this project this week was so eye-opening and challenging for me -- in a good way of course! I've never done grant research or searched for potential partners, so there was a bit of a learning curve for me, which I think I handled pretty well if I do say so myself! No one mentions the amount a careful work & effort that goes into searching for grants or potential partners. I had to make sure that the Sharing Tree was fully eligible for the grants I was researching and that the potential partners I researched aligned with the mission of TST. This reinforced the importance of being mindful and critical in my analysis of information and data. This also reminded me that the work of a social entrepreneur isn't easy, it takes work outside of the venture to ensure that it grows (and has funding).
This week has definitely been one for the books, and I am so glad that I'm growing every time I step foot within the Sharing Tree!
