rolling with the punches.

Due to COVID-19 and not being able to film any more videos for the rest of the length of my internship. My work plan has shifted just a little bit. Currently, I am creating video editing workshops for the SIE@FSU team, for the remainder of the semester. So far, the workshops I have created are called Intro to Premiere, How to edit audio in Premiere, Post-Production Color-Correction, Creating Titles and Graphics in Premiere, and Exporting in Premiere. These workshops will be designed to help the my team members learn basic editing knowledge and become more familiar with the Adobe Software. The workshops will consist of me teaching for 15-30 minutes and then having a hands on activity to go along with it.

The hardest part about this, is having to completely change the requirements of my internship at the very end of the semester. I have no problem hosting workshops to help my team attain skills that will benefit them for the future. However, It does bum me out a little bit that I will not be able to film and edit anymore videos for the rest of the semester due to pandemic at hand. Meanwhile, I really do enjoy teaching and creating workshops so this is also a big success in my eyes and I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge with the rest of my team.

Overall, I feel as this is a wonderful way to give back to my fellow entrepreneurs because, it will teach them how to create impact through digital media in the future. Our world is slowly evolving into the digital era and everything will be connected online, so this is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to visually create something. I am kinda sad about everything that is currently happening in the world. However, it has always been important for me to remember that sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and that everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.
